Cookies and browser storage

We use cookies and local or session storage for the features described below. Local storage can remain until you clear this site's data; session storage normally lasts for the browser tab's session. Blocking storage may prevent saved preferences or sign-in from working.

• Sign-in: the HttpOnly enosintel_session cookie identifies your authenticated session. Sessions have an absolute expiry and an inactivity timeout; the default settings are 12 hours and 30 minutes respectively. Deployment settings can shorten or extend these limits.
• Language and edition: enosintel_locale, enosintel_locale_manual, enosintel_account_locale, enosintel_region and enosintel_edition remember audience preferences for up to 365 days. The language selector also saves a local browser preference.
• Reader interactions: the enosintel_reader_id cookie supports anonymous reader interactions and lasts up to 365 days. The service uses a keyed hash of the random identifier.
• Reading features: saved stories, followed topics, timezone, reading preferences and local visit information can be stored in your browser. Newsletter and advertising dismissals may use session storage. These records are separate from advertising consent.
• Page counts: a session-storage entry beginning enosintel-pageview: avoids duplicate counts within 30 seconds. When enabled, first-party measurement sends the public page path, language and device class; the server aggregates counts by hour and coarse country. This measurement currently operates without a separate opt-in and honours Do Not Track and Global Privacy Control.

You can clear cookies and browser storage through your browser's site settings. This also removes saved local preferences and may sign you out. Clearing browser data does not delete account information or existing server records. For privacy requests, contact rights@enosintel.com.

Saved reading positions and optional return-visit measurement

Saved article links stay in your browser. If you enable remembering your reading position in Saved intelligence, we store a progress fraction only for articles you explicitly saved. Turning this preference off removes those positions. We do not store article text or a general browsing history for this feature.

Optional return-visit measurement is disabled until the owner activates it and you explicitly opt in through Saved intelligence. When enabled, a random browser identifier lasts up to 90 days. The server stores keyed hashes of that identifier and session identifiers, event types, event values, device class, language, coarse country and event times. It does not store article URLs, search terms, account identifiers or inferred interests in this measurement dataset. Do Not Track and Global Privacy Control prevent collection. Turning measurement off stops future collection and removes its identifier from your browser; it does not automatically erase previously recorded server events. The owner must approve server retention and deletion operations before activating collection.

Recruitment applications

When you apply for an ENOSIntel vacancy, we store the details you submit, a copy of the vacancy at the time of application and your consent record. These details are used to assess your application and contact you about that role, not to subscribe you to marketing. Optional portfolio links are stored as text; this application form does not accept CV file uploads.

Applicant records and review notes are accessible only to the owner in the control centre. Recruitment records are reviewed and deleted manually; there is no automatic deletion schedule. Deleting a record removes it from the active database, while operational audit records and backups are managed separately.

For access, correction, withdrawal or deletion requests, email rights@enosintel.com with your application reference. Do not send identity documents or unnecessary sensitive information with your application.

Advertising and consent

Where consent is required, advertising begins only after our configured consent platform reports the applicable permission. If that permission is unavailable, advertising remains off. Account, owner and legal pages are excluded from advertising.

Advertising and affiliate providers may process information such as cookies, device identifiers, IP addresses or event data as described in the Privacy Notice. Where Google-served ads are enabled, advertising-related data may be shared with Google and its partners, who may place or read cookies or use similar technologies and process data for measurement, fraud prevention and ads personalization where permitted by applicable consent and settings. Where required, non-essential advertising is enabled only after applicable consent and users can revisit their choices.
